Hi Internet.
There’s been quite a few people emailing us wondering what’s going on. We haven’t posted in awhile because there are other sites out there, namely Darth Hater, who do the news thing well and we have no desire to flood this space with sites that post the same news, etc.
We’re going to focus more on data mining and such once the NDA is lifted and the game goes live, if we can. We should have mentioned this awhile ago, but the analytics showed little to no traffic and we didn’t realize anyone cared until this week when a ton of traffic came from MMO Champion.
If you are interested in joining the team over here, shoot me an email to quantix@swtor-champion.com.
“Imperial intelligence operatives are clearly just as deadly as their Sith superiors.” -Jedi Master Gnost-Dural
Well, the folks at BioWare are still doting on the lighter side of things, talking more about grape Smugglers and the Jedi than those on the dark side. But there is no reason we can’t discuss a little Imperial Agent lore and speculate on how what we do know will apply to us. I’ve also included some discussion on the known abilities for Imperial Agents and the bearing they may have on play style.

Tuesdays usually are a mixed bag. On one hand, Tuesday has become the traditional “server maintenance” day across most MMOs. On the other hand, Tuesdays also bring new game and DVD/Blu-ray releases. Off-Topic Tuesday is the weekly column to discuss games away from SWTOR and just about anything else we can think of to fill the void.
First of all, we have no clue what day BioWare will designate as the SWTOR maintenance day. This Tuesday thing might be a wash when the game launches, we’ll see. Okay, enough SWTOR. Time to get off-topic after the break.
There was a huge smuggler update posted over on the official SWTOR site yesterday. Naturally, as the smuggler columnist, they posted the smuggler update on the one Friday I was too busy to check their updates. Excuses excuses, I know.
Get the full scoop after the break.

Greetings fellow Bounty Hunters and jetpack enthusiasts, please take a seat and relax. I plan on illuminating you a bit more this week by passing along what little information is available to me regarding the Bounty Hunter and what we can expect from their Advanced Specializations. Bioware once again has held the hands of our weak and corruptible enemies and provided them with a “pretty” video demonstrating how cool they are going to be, thereby increasing their self-esteem.
As I said before, much of the information currently available for the Bounty Hunter is unconfirmed so please bear with me as this will be a work in progress. This information is what was viewed and experienced from various gaming conventions like E3 and PAX 2010.
It’s been months since I promised to write my smuggler column. With a proper nudge and a glimpse of free time, I present you with what is sure to be the highlight of your day.
Time-out. You see how that worked? In true smuggler fashion, I’m already running late on a deadline and oozing with roguish ego. Quoteth the Raven, “That’s so me.”
More after the break.
“The rapid onset of galaxy-wide terror and panic was part of the Sith Emperor’s meticulous calculations. His plan was flawless. He had turned the Republic against itself. The attack of the Sith Empire was the most well-orchestrated and carefully coordinated military maneuver in the Galaxy’s history…” – Jedi Master Gnost-Dural in his report on the Great Galactic War in 28 BTC
This article will focus on all currently confirmed information regarding the Sith Warrior class. I am aware that this information is completely subject to change, and so I will commit myself 100% to keeping this article up-to-date with new additions or revisions as they are released. With that said, lock S-Foils in attack position stop Googling Princess Leia in her slave costume and join me inside…
If, like me, your idea of a nice vacation involves danger, espionage, and lots and lots of weaponry, then head on over to Hutta. On Friday we can kill some locals, on Saturday we’ll go Smuggler hunting, and on Sunday we’ll show the Jedi who really controls the Galaxy. Life as an Imperial Agent is intense and thrilling. While his Sith understudies are the right hand of the Emperor, we are his left. The Sith install a sense of fear in the hearts of the populous while we maintain order and the structure of life through backdoor deals and assassinations, turning that fear into our power.
Leave your ideals and morals behind you; we accept any mission and always deliver. No other class exemplifies pride as we do. Our homeworld is a gangster controlled cesspool and it is the perfect place to hone your skills with little consequence or reprisal. Upon entering the rest of the galaxy, your experiences will have you ready to pwn anyone or anything that crosses your path. Imperial Agents are tricked out to the nines with high-tech gadgets and stealthier than those lazy Bothan spies (we live through our missions).

Dead-eye Scotie has joined the team as our Imperial Agent Columnist! He’ll be along shortly to introduce himself, when he’s not cleaning his gun.
I promise that was an actual reference to cleaning a real gun, not something else.
“If we pass beyond this door, we can never go back. The Order will surely banish us…” - Darth Malak to Darth Revan in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Whether you’ve heard it from BioWare Co-Founder Dr. Ray Muzyka, Lead Writer Daniel Erickson, or Director of Production Dallas Dickinson, the topic of “Meaningful Choices” in SWTOR has been stressed past the point of redundancy. The majority of the community (correct me if I’m way off base here) has come to expect this type of design style from BioWare as the “standard” for their games.
But with this proven style being introduced for the first time in a MMO, and considering that there will be no save option to backtrack in case you inadvertently rescue a family destroy a family with extreme prejudice, what are the moral implications of your character’s actions?
